Susan Schnell, RN, BSN, MBA, CIC is founder of Infection Prevention Services.  She is a certified infection preventionist with over 10 years of experience in infection prevention in Acute care and Home Health.  She is an RN with 30+ years of experience in a variety of settings and in many different states.  While some might consider her change to different areas of focus to be a liability Susan believes that it uniquely prepares her for the temporary staffing and consulting business.  Her experience has taught her to be flexible, adapt quickly to the work culture, and adjust to change.  Susan has also learned new ideas and new ways of doing things that she may not have learn staying within one facility, system or location.  

Although Susan has worked in a variety of settings her passion has always been in infection prevention since starting in that field in 1993.  Susan is a compassionate care-giver and a problem solver and as an infection preventionist she puts her problem solving skills to work in preventing infections and improving the lives of patients.  

Susan is a wife, mother to two boys and grandmother of two boys.  As such she has had ample opportunity to practice her infection prevention skills much to their impatience!
