Temporary Staffing/Interim Infection Preventionist

  1. On-site Services
    • First week of contract and one week a month until contract ends
    • Evaluation of Infection Prevention Program
    • Infection Prevention Committee attendance
    • Construction ICRA on-site with two week advance notice
    • Monthly meeting with Infection Prevention Medical Director
    • Monthly General Orientation presentation and nursing orientation
    • Training of Replacement Infection Prevention Staff
  2. Electronic Services
    • Collect, analyze, interpret infection prevention outcome data
    • Report to National Healthcare and Safety Network (NHSN) and other entities as required
    • Infection Prevention Initiatives committee attendance (CLABSI, CAUTI, etc.)  
    • Preparation of and distribution of infection prevention data as needed to committees including but not limited to:  Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medical Staff, Environment of Care.  Attendance via phone or web.
    • Review, develop and revise infection prevention and control policies and procedures as needed.
    • Investigation and surveillance of suspected outbreaks of infection (May do this on-site depending on the nature and severity of outbreak)
    • Available by phone for consultation regarding infection prevention to Medical Staff, Managers and employees.
